Precipitation Problem

I went for a walk

when it started to rain.

The sky was forbidding.

I didn’t complain.

Swiftly thereafter

I heard the wind blow.

The clouds gathered in

and were followed by snow.

My mood was morose

but I kept on my feet,

then lightning bolts cracked

and a storm yielded sleet.

It tumbled relentlessly.

Thunder abounded.

I looked to the heavens

then turned round, confounded.

I’d hoped to continue

but quit altogether,

and went home because

I felt under the weather.
